Discover Your True Purpose In Life

A friend of mine posted this emotional question on Facebook...“If I died tonight, how would I be remembered?”. In fact, it attracted a lot of comments and views from friends and family. I can’t recall the exact comment I made but it got me thinking about one big thing... 'my purpose in life'.
I believe that everyone has a purpose in life... a unique gift or a special talent to give to others. According to Deepak Chopra, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, “you have a unique talent and a unique way of expressing it. There is something that you can do better than anyone else in the whole world”. And when your talent is align with service to humanity, you can manifest anything in the world. Thus, you are achieving your life purpose.
I have always had the desire of pursuing inspirational speaking, and everything in my life have pointed me towards that direction. During my time in school, I find myself taking self-improvement classes and talking to people about life. Whenever I get into the conversations about life, I find myself barely keeping track of time. Most of my work experiences has been working for non-profits and advocating for human rights. I finally decided to pursue my inspirational speaking because I belive most people can use a dose of inspiration in their life.
So, why does life purpose has anything to do with what you would be remembered of when you died tonight? It has to do with everything about life. People will only remember you when you make a huge impact in their life. Therefore, you have to ask yourself what impact have you had on anyone in the last month? If the answer is ‘NO’, then start thinking of how you can be of a service to people.
I want you to ask yourself daily, “how can I serve people?” and “how can I help people?” the answers to these questions will allow you to help and serve your fellow human being with love.
